Should I move to Texas, or Florida?

I live in TX, one of my kid's friends moved to FL to live with his ma, after a year he hightailed it back here….he hated it there. Anecdotal, but I guess it's true that FL is not all beaches & sunshine, and as far as culture goes…sorry, it ain't there.Both states have the advantage of no state income tax, but I think TX has the more vibrant economy and better outlook…and good state schools; if you come and work for a year to establish residency before you go to school, you'll get in-state tuition 14 hours ago Thanks!
